Summer Solstice

Today is the Summer Solstice, longest day of the year. I was up early to see the sun coming in. It was beautiful and well worth it. The ancients certainly knew a thing or two. Their veneration of the sun is definitely worth continuing. Seeing it coming up and bathing everything in gold is awe inspiring. Truly magnificent. Makes you feel happy to be alive, and surrounded by life in so many forms.

Equally the setting of the sun is something not to miss as it turns the sky red as it sinks, leaving the moon glowing like a light bulb in the sky.
